A Coraciiformes come the class action of unremarkably colourful near passerine birds including the kingfishers, the Hoopoe, the bee-eaters, the rollers, and a hornbills. It usually use at times syndactyly, by using trinity forward pointing toes.
This is largely an Old World order, with a represenation in the New World limited to 13 coinage of todies and motmots, and only hexad of the 84 kingfishers.
This a correct sequence hwhen been seen to become something of a mixed assortment, & the Coraciiformes can be considered as including simply the rollers. All the more families may be considered to represent lineages of birds distantly related to Coraciiformes.
